Top 20 Luxury Destinations in the World: The luxury property market is booming, in fact, the number of the world’s most expensive homes went up more than 15 percent this year to 3,678, according to Forbes.

While many are skeptical of what a property with the tag “luxury” actually means, real estate analysts and agents maintain the list has some merit.

Here’s a list of the top 20 Luxury Destinations in the world according to the Forbes report:

20. Antik Batik Palace, Bali, Indonesia

Owned by Diponegoro University, the Antik Batik Palace was built in the late 19th century but is one of the most valuable and iconic properties in Bali.

It features four luxury suites, a library, and a meeting room. All the suites are decorated in the traditional style of batik fabrics from Bali and are complemented by traditional Indonesian furniture.

19. Park Hyatt Bali Resort

Located on a 19-hectare piece of land, Park Hyatt Bali Resort features 100 villas ranging from 300 square meters to 585 square meters. The resort’s sales center overlooks the beach.
